Prominent businessman, icon, community leader and Nigeria’s foremost steel merchant, Chief Philip Bivese Djebah, popularly known as P.B. Djebah was recently laid to rest at a ceremony held at his home town of Okwagbe, Delta State.
The line-up of events to celebrate the colossus started with a Vigil mass at St Cyprian Catholic Church Agaga layout Effurun Warri, on Tuesday, 25th August 2020. The following day, the body of the late Sir Djebah was taken in a Motorcade to Okwagbe for Lying in State at his Country home in Okwagbe and the Funeral Mass at St Patrick Catholic Church Okwagbe.
People from all walks of life from all over Nigeria and around the world gathered to bid farewell to the patriarch of the Djebah family. Sir (High Chief) P.B Djebah was an illustrious industrialist, philanthropist and humanitarian. He was a founding director of Ecobank international and Lifetime Patron of NACCIMA and widely acknowledged as a role model who made a positive impact on the lives of people and his community.
He is survived by wife, children and grandchildren including Sir. Clement Djebah (KSM) and Rev. Fr. Nicholas Djebah.
